Weaving Vintage Rag Rugs

Make a Memory Rug-- Do you have an old tablecloth or bedspread from your great aunt, or are you holding on to your grandfather's old flannel shirts and don't know what to do with them? Make a Memory Rug for yourself or for a family member. Rugs make great wedding gifts and/or Christmas gifts. Lori will introduce you to the lost art of weaving rag rugs created from old worn out blue jeans, men's shirts, and bed sheets, just like your great grandmother used to make. Lori will first explain the simple mechanics of how a rug loom operates, then you choose what machine you would like to work on. All material and supplies will be included. You will keep the rug that you make ($35-$45 value). Classes will be held at Lori's studio. Class sizes will be limited to 3 to 4 people and must be over the age of 12.
