Lil Sluggers
Calling all 2-5 year olds, Lil Sluggers is back for another session! Players will learn simple base running and recognition, hitting and how to hold the bat properly, throwing in an overhand motion, fielding using two hands, and more! This is a great introduction to the sport of baseball as well as increasing social skills, fitness and agility, and improving eye/hand coordination.
The following items will be covered in this camp:
- Proper base running and recognition
- Hitting with focus on proper stance, level swing, follow through off tee.
- Throwing..point, step, throw.
- Fielding, keep body in front of ball, 2 hands
- Catching pop flies with 2 hands.
- Learning various game situations
- Proper use and practice with glove.
- Teamwork.
- Fitness and agility.
- Game situations.
